Shaanxi province, a major cradle of Chinese civilization, has profound cultural foundations. Numerous items of intangible cultural heritages exist here, such as Xi'an drum music, shadow puppetry, Qinqiang opera, Tang tri-color glazed pottery and Shanbei storytelling among others.
