Guo Hongfei from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region was recently granted the China Industry-University-Research Institute Craftsman Spirit Award, making him the first in the region to obtain such an honor.
Guo is the vice president of the Inner Mongolia University of Technology and the foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
The craftsman spirit award is the country's highest honor for the industry-university-research institute collaborative innovation circles. A total of 37 people across the country won this honor this year.
