Hohhot named as urban business environment innovation city

The city of Hohhot – capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – was recently listed as an urban business environment innovation city.

That's according to the 2022 Urban Business Environment Innovation Report released by the State-controlled China Media Group on April 3.

In recent years, the report has tracked the six-dimensional framework system built with innovation as the core. It has observed and reported on the business environment innovation practices of municipalities, provincial capitals and autonomous region capital cities, cities with independent planning status and economically active cities – with their GDP last year exceeding 1 trillion yuan ($145.4 billion).

The latest event also saw the release of the 2022 Urban Business Environment Innovation Counties (Cities) list, as well as the 2022 Urban Business Environment Innovation Measures Top 10 Key Words.
