12th Beijing Tour for Overseas Talents holds 2nd global promotional event

The 2nd global promotional event of the 12th Beijing Tour for Overseas Talents, featuring entrepreneurship and innovation, was held by the Beijing Overseas Talents Center via livestream in Beijing on the night of March 30.

With the support of Chinese embassies in foreign countries and overseas talent institutions, the livestream event drew the attendance of 16,000 overseas talents from over 20 countries and regions.

During the event, organizers briefed attendees on policy support, the social environment, opportunities and services concerning entrepreneurship and innovation in Beijing. They also gave an introduction to the capital city's innovation elements, entrepreneurial ecology and service resources, and released a list of most wanted talents with specific criteria in terms of educational background, occupational experience, sci-tech research findings and technological innovation capabilities.

The Beijing Overseas Talents Association was invited to brief on the upcoming 2023 HICOOL Global Entrepreneur Summit & Entrepreneurship Competition, which consists of seven parallel contests related to high-end manufacturing, pharmaceutical and health sectors.

The upcoming competition, open for registration till April 30, has in all 140 specific awards and 28 honors for talent with cumulative prizes worth 100 million yuan ($14.56 million).

The promotional event also unveiled over 2,700 job opportunities in 870 categories from 185 employers, covering information technology, integrated circuit, pharmaceuticals and health, intelligent equipment, energy-saving and environmental protection, new energy and smart vehicles, new materials, artificial intelligent, finance, law and liberal arts.

Representatives from the Beijing Overseas Talents Center also introduced its supportive policies for talent attraction.

Throughout the past decade, the Beijing Tour for Overseas Talents has become a leading brand of talent acquisition from abroad.

This year, the 12th Beijing Tour for Overseas Talents will hold more promotional events on specific themes to fully meet the demand of overseas talents. It also plans to invite those who have expressed their willingness to settle in Beijing to visit the city and try their luck.
