High-speed trains linking Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (Shanghai Hongqiao) and Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station (West Kowloon) are expected to resume operations on April 1, according to China Railway Shanghai Group Co.

A 16-carriage Fuxing bullet train will link the two destinations and the train will depart from Shanghai Hongqiao at 2:09 pm and arrive at West Kowloon at 10:05 pm. The return trip will depart at 11:25 am from West Kowloon the following day and arrive at Shanghai Hongqiao at 7:25 pm.

A single trip ticket for adults starts at 894 yuan ($129.83) and children's tickets are half the price of adult tickets.

Passengers can book tickets on the 12306 railway ticketing system, offline ticket windows, or automatic ticket machines.

The 12306 railway ticketing system has been upgraded and allows passengers to register with mobile phone numbers in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Passengers from the Chinese mainland can board the train in Shanghai or any other stops including Hangzhou, Jinhua, Nanchang, Huizhou and Shenzhen, and go through customs when they arrive at West Kowloon.
