Suzhou Metro Line 11, which is connected to Shanghai Metro Line 11, is expected to start trial operations on March 1 and officially put into use in the first half of this year, local media outlets reported.

The opening of the new metro line is said to be an essential step to promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

With a total length of 41.25 kilometers, Suzhou Metro Line 11 has 28 stops. It starts at Weiting Station in Suzhou Industrial Park and ends at Kunshan Huaqiao Station, which is linked with Shanghai Huaqiao Station on Shanghai Metro Line 11 by lounge bridges.

After getting off at Shanghai Huaqiao Station, passengers from Shanghai can transfer to Suzhou Metro Line 11 after walking across lounge bridges A, B or C 3 and can buy tickets on the second floor of Kunshan Huaqiao Station.
