Alshaa League records economic growth in first nine months

In the first three quarters of 2022, the GDP of Alshaa League in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region increased by 4.5 percent year-on-year, which was 2.2 percentage points higher than that in the first half of the year.

The growth rate ranked Alshaa League fifth in the autonomous region.

During the period, all of the 115 major projects at the autonomous region level there and 112 major projects at the league level have either started or resumed construction work.

The Beiyingen-Lujing section of National Highway 331 started construction in April 2020, with a total investment of 2.73 billion yuan ($376 million) and the main section stretches 478 kilometers. It was completed in July this year and has entered the trial operations stage.

The added value of the primary industry in the period came in at 780 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.2 percent. The industrial added value of the secondary industry above a designated size increased by 9.5 percent year-on-year, 0.6 percentage points higher than that of the autonomous region. Total retail sales of social consumer goods in its tertiary industry were 3.74 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.2 percent, which was 0.8 percentage points higher than that of the autonomous region.

The general public budget revenue was 2.86 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 340 million yuan.
