Ningxia Lingwu: Dairy industry pursues excellence

Located in the central part of the Ningxia Plain and on the east bank of the Yellow River, Lingwu is abundant in land resources and features a dry climate and lush pastures, a perfect habitat for cows.

In recent years, Lingwu has promoted the development of the dairy industry, attracting a total of 3.5 billion yuan of social investment.

One hundred and three large-scale farms have been built, 59 of them are dairy operations, and the construction of the world's largest intelligent single liquid milk processing plant has been launched.

As of the end of 2021, there were 135,000 dairy cows in Lingwu, a year-on-year increase of 70.19 percent, and the milk output was 523,300 tons, surging by 118.77 percent over the previous year.

The dairy cow inventory ranks first in Yinchuan and the fresh milk production ranks second in Ningxia, and the dairy industry of Lingwu achieved an output value of 2.09 billion yuan last year, which embodies the city's dairy industry's pursuit of excellence.
