Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai) is the first UFI approved auto show in China. It has been successfully held nineteen times since its establishment in 1985.
With a focus on new technologies, new trends, and new products in the global automotive industry, the auto show aims to develop itself into one of the most valuable and influential brand platforms to display, launch and transaction automobiles both domestically and globally.
Co-hosted by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Shanghai Promotion of International Trade, and the Automotive Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Auto Shanghai is organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd and Messe München’s subsidiary company IMAG.
The 19th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2021) was held in Shanghai from April 21 to 28, 2021. This year, it was the first major auto show in the world to run normally amid the coronavirus pandemic.
With a total exhibition area of 360,000 square meters, Auto Shanghai 2021 attracted roughly 810,000 visitors and more than 1,000 companies in the auto industry. A total of 1,310 vehicle models were displayed, with global carmakers debuting 128 new models during the 10-day auto show. During the show, nearly 20 forums, summits, seminars and technology communication activities were organized to analyze the future development of the industry from a global perspective, focusing on carbon neutrality, new energy, self-driving capabilities and many other hot topics.
