Deputy spells out importance of basic research to improve competitiveness

"I think that it is still vital to make full use of the relevant policies of our country," Ma Yushan, a National People's Congress (NPC) deputy from Ningxia Hui autonomous region and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Secretary of party Committee and chairman of Ningxia, Wuzhong Instrument Co Ltd, said in an interview on March 6.

According to Ma, the government should make the most of the policy as a guiding role, to further stimulate the vitality of Ningxia enterprises. "Especially in this year's government work report, for micro, small and medium-size enterprises, scientific and technological innovation, support for the real economy and protection of market players, we have put forward a series of good policies, and measures," Ma said.
