Official calls for increased funding to support projects in Ningxia

At the fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress held on Sunday, Bai Shangcheng, a member of the CPPCC National Committee, suggested that the central finance institution should increase financial support to Ningxia ethnic minority areas.

According to Bai, the ecological protection of the Yellow River in Ningxia area is an important exploration, but the lack of experience makes the tasks challenging. He noted that the factor of building a demonstration zone for the sense of community of the Chinese nation should be included in the calculation and allocation of transfer payments in ethnic minority areas, to increase financial support for the Ningxia ethnic minority areas.
