Chinese leading milk-tea maker Nayuki opened its first bookstore in Beijing  recently, as the company continues to upgrade and innovate its business to tap into more demand.

The upgraded shop, dubbed as Nayuki Pro, offers consumers a social space that combines tea and food tasting and book-reading. Different from other stores, the fresh store offers tea, coffee, bakery items and snacks, as well as over a thousand books for customers to read.

Located in Zhongguancun, the bookstore is surrounded by dozens of universities such as Tsinghua University. It is also near several science and technology parks.

Nayuki, whose popular fresh-fruit teas include cheese-foam-topped beverages, has set up over 560 stores in more than 70 cities at home and abroad within five years since its founding.

The Shenzhen-based company made its debut on the Hong Kong stock exchange earlier this year, which made it the country's first listed milk tea chain.
