Located to the south of the Chinese mainland, the South China Sea boasts exceptional advantage for maritime trade as it is an indispensable part of the Maritime Silk Road in ancient China.

To revisit the history of maritime trade between China and the world, the Anqing Museum in East China's Anhui province, in collaboration with the Hainan Museum, is exhibiting over 200 salvaged relics recovered along the South China Sea. The exhibit ends April 11.
