As of July 31, 60,000 remote herdsman households in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region finally received access to broadband, according to information from the Inner Mongolia branch of the China Broadcasting Network Group (CBN).

The herdsman households have benefited from the pastoral area smart radio and television broadband network coverage and service project, which is an important part of Inner Mongolia's "Three-year Action Plan for Pastoral Area Modernization (2020-2022)" implemented in January this year.

In accordance with the work of the autonomous region's government, the pastoral area smart broadcasting and television broadband network coverage and service project will be implemented in 33 pastoral areas, banners, and counties in the region, and the network coverage of 124,000 remote rural households will be completed by the end of the year.

As of July 31, 50 percent of wired network and nearly 70 percent of wireless network construction tasks had been finished.
