Ginseng farming boosts villagers' incomes in Jilin province

Technical experts in the county and township have developed a technique for improving farmland soil to grow American ginseng and have educated villagers on using the technique to farm ginseng. Sihai village is now home to flourishing ginseng crops. In 2020, the American ginseng industry in Mengjiang township boosted 381 households out of poverty in 13 villages and has ensured a stable income for villagers in the area. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
