In 2020, Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province attracted six projects from Fortune Global 500 companies and three projects from China's top 500 enterprises and private companies.
The six Fortune Global 500 projects include Hengli Group's industrial park with a total investment of 22 billion yuan ($3.40 billion), Coca-Cola's beverage factory with a total investment of 270 million yuan, and Huawei's Kunpeng ecosystem hardware production line with a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan.
There are also Wanda Group's comprehensive projects with a total investment of 9 billion yuan, Cedar Holdings' data innovation industrial park with a total investment of 3 billion yuan, and Nippon Paint China's production base with a total investment of 1 billion yuan.
So far, Guian has attracted 32 top companies, including 25 Fortune Global 500 companies such as Huawei, Hengli, Apple, Tencent and Alibaba, two of China's top 500 companies – Evoc and Inspur, as well as five of China's top 500 private companies.
By Dec 30, 2020, Guian had introduced 62 projects with a total investment of 16.38 billion yuan, involving big data, high-end equipment manufacturing, medicine, tourism, new materials, green food and the modern service industry.
In 2021, Guian will continue to carry out investment promotion activities with Guiyang, targeting China's marketing enterprises, central government-owned enterprises, State-owned enterprises, Fortune Global 500 companies and China's top 500 companies.
Meanwhile, Guian will encourage its entrepreneurs to attract investment and increase the area's economic volume.
