Icicles, thundering water greet Shanxi tourists

With the coming of Major Snow, the 21st solar term of the year, temperatures have recently dropped significantly in North China's Shanxi province, and Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River in Jixian county has formed a unique landscape of icicles.

Tourists have a chance to enjoy spectacular scenes at the famous attraction known for its yellow water and thunderous sound in the bitter cold of winter.

The rainbow that arches over the waterfall has attracted many photographers.

Located on the border of Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, Hukou Waterfall is the second-largest waterfall in China and the largest on the Yellow River.
