Germany, Guangxi look to bolster cooperation

Lan Tianli, acting chairman of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, met with the delegation led by Clemens von Goetze, Germany's ambassador to China, in Nanning on Nov 12.

Lan extended a warm welcome to the delegation and said that Guangxi has attached great importance to its communications and cooperation with Germany's local governments and companies. He noted that Guangxi and Germany have achieved great outcomes in high-level exchanges, as well as in their economic, trade, and industrial cooperation.

Lan added that Guangxi hopes to team with Germany to carry out deep cooperation in areas spanning the automobile industry, machinery manufacturing, bio-pharmacy, and cultural education.

Goetze noted that Guangxi has made impressive achievements in areas like ecological environment protection, economic development, as well as opening-up and cooperation. He added that the German Embassy in China is willing to serve as a bridge to promote exchanges and cooperation between Guangxi and Germany, boosting mutual development.
