Foreign medical professor sets up expert studio in Guangxi

Professor Liu Fang, a registered senior Chinese physician working in British Columbia, Canada, and one of the first batch of foreign experts hired by the foreign expert workstation in Guangxi International Zhuang Medicine Hospital, unveiled his expert studio in May 2020.

Since May, Liu has been available on Wednesday and Thursday morning of the second week of each month.

Liu graduated from the medical department of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine in 1983 and went to Canada for academic purposes in 1988. He returned to engage in a teaching and research exchange in Beijing in 2012.

Liu is currently a registered senior Chinese physician in British Columbia, Canada, and a visiting professor of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, Guangxi International Zhuang Medical Hospital, and the Swiss Higher School of Chinese Medicine.

He is good at treating various medical conditions, common allergic diseases, rheumatic diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, chronic debilitating diseases, and various other conditions which cause pain.

Tan Yuwang, dean of Guangxi International Zhuang Medicine Hospital, said that foreign experts like Professor Liu who studied overseas and then returned to China have a deeper understanding of Chinese medicine, and will provide young doctors with a more open mind for learning Chinese medicine.

Tan also proposed that the hospital should introduce more foreign experts in the future and hoped that foreigners like Professor Liu will enjoy teaching, diagnosis and treatment research in the hospital.>
