Hainan tourism annual pass launched in Sanya

A Hainan tourism annual pass was launched in Sanya on July 15, which entitles holders access to nearly 30 tourist attractions across the province for free within one year.

The virtual annual pass is linked to the Hainan social security card. It is only available to Hainan residents, people working in Hainan that are covered by local social insurance, university students, and high-caliber talents.

Those interested can purchase the pass at the official WeChat account: gh_359180babe9f. A 2 percent discount is available during the presale period until July 31, with the annual pass costing as low as 299 yuan ($43).

Starting from Aug 1, pass holders can visit nearly 30 scenic spots, including Wuzhizhou Island, Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone, Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area, and Haikou Shishan Volcanic Cluster National Geopark with their social security card or through facial recognition.

More tourist attractions, hotels, and restaurants may join in the future.
