From January to June this year, the overall customs clearance time for imports at Guangxi ports was 6.94 hours, 46.94 percent less than in 2019, while that for exports was 1.2 hours, 1.27 hours faster than the national average.

In the first half of 2020, Nanning Customs improved the single window service with national standards, turning the traditional serial law enforcement of the port inspection departments into parallel law enforcement, achieving the sharing of enterprise declaration and inspection data.

The single window refers to the integration of nine business functions, including cargo declaration, manifest declaration, transportation vehicle declaration, license application, certificate of origin application, enterprise qualification processing, query statistics, export tax refund, and tax payment.

Enterprises can submit standardized documents and electronic information required by port management and international trade related departments through the single window at one time.

In the first half of the year, all Guangxi enterprises process declarations, manifests, and transportation vehicles through the single window. Declared declarations in the paperless mode of customs clearance accounted for more than 99.97 percent of the total.

The Nanning Customs Data Center has also continuously enriched the hotline service functions, as well as established online accounts to answer questions related to customs clearance.

In the future, Nanning Customs will improve the risk prevention and control capabilities of port functional departments, strengthen the effectiveness of trade supervision, as well as continue to reduce customs clearance costs for enterprises with the help of process re-engineering and big data analysis.
