Beijing releases requirements for nucleic acid test

The capital authority has cleared the people who are required to do the nucleic acid test, announced by the Beijing Municipal Health Commission on Sunday afternoon.

According to the latest regulation, the confirmed and suspect cases, close contacts should do the test.

Patients to the fever clinics should do the test and the patients who have respiratory symptoms also should be given the nucleic acid test before being hospitalized.

People who come back to Beijing including the ones from Wuhan, overseas returnees, students and teachers who came back for school resumption, should do the test.

Especially, international travelers who arrived China via other cities and failed to complete the 14-day quarantine should do the test when they come to Beijing.

Government workers who have been to areas out of Beijing for work should do the test when coming back.

The ones coming to Beijing for business trips who would stay in hotels in the capital should provide negative nucleic acid testing results. Otherwise, they are required to do the test when they arrive in Beijing.

Last Wednesday (April 15), Beijing has released the names of the first batch of 46 institutions that can provide nucleic acid testing service for individuals and groups to meet the growing needs of the test.

Among the 46 institutions, 28 offer testing service for individuals and groups, while the rest provide testing service only for groups, said Gao Xiaojun, spokesman for the Beijing Municipal Health Commission. So far, the number of institutions has been added to 50.

According to CapitalBio MedLab, one of the 28 institutions, the testing fee for each person is 300 yuan ($42), including sampling.
