As the last group of 49 novel coronavirus pneumonia patients were discharged from Wuchang makeshift hospital in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, on March 10, the medical team from Southwest China's Guizhou province had finished their work at Wuhan's cabin hospitals.

On Feb 6, 99 nurses from the second batch of Guizhou's medical teams started working at Hanjiang makeshift hospital, marking the beginning of the medical team's work at Wuhan's cabin hospitals.

Following that, Guizhou's national emergency medical team and its fifth batch of medical teams worked at Wuhan Sports Center makeshift hospital, Hanjiang makeshift hospital, and Wuhang hospital.

Guizhou's medical teams won praise for their responsibility, service, and medical care. Bruce Aylward, the international team lead for the WHO-China joint mission on COVID-19, praised Guizhou's medical team as "very professional" after being introduced to the medical team's efforts at makeshift hospitals.

According to Wang Rong, director of the nursing department at Wuchang makeshift hospital, Guizhou's medical team provided intravenous therapy and atomization inhalation treatment, both of which came with high risks of infection.

Thanks to Guizhou's medical team, Wuchang makeshift hospital was the only one to provide both of the special treatments, bolstering confidence that the fight against the virus would be won.
