Dalian Customs in Northeast China's Liaoning province is providing coordinators for enterprises to help them resume production and reduce the impact of the novel coronavirus epidemic.

"We must know the difficulties and demands of enterprises and help them resolve the problems as soon as possible, to ensure they can organize production and operation well," said Sun Yuning, director of Dalian Customs, whose jurisdiction covers six cities in the province.

"In particular, we need to support stable production and supply of agricultural products and the resumption of production. This is our priority now," he said.

In order to help a seed company receive imported pumpkin seeds quickly, customs at Dalian International Airport opened a "green channel" for them.

"The support measures really helped a lot. During the transportation process, it is difficult for seeds to be preserved in a perfect state. Customs not only reduces our preservation risk, but also facilitate further production," Yuan Minghao of the company said.

The resumption of production is accelerating. Dalian Customs is also continuously optimizing the business environment, ensuring the smooth operation of foreign trade industrial and supply chains and enhancing the confidence of foreign investors in long-term investment and operation.

Dalian customs introduced more positive and effective targeted cuts of tariffs and fees and some other convenient measure to help the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises go through the difficulties during the epidemic.

According to Han Baoguo, a manager of a foreign trade company from Yingkou in the province, under the customs policy the company not only did not need to pay demurrage and storage fees, but also got a tariff reduction.
