International students experience Shaanxi history and culture

Hosted by Northwest University (NWU), the "Experience China, Silk Road Shaanxi Entrepreneurs" activity was officially launched on Oct 25.

Nearly 100 international students from Northwest University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xidian University, Shaanxi Normal University, Chang'an University, and Xi'an Shiyou University participated in the activity that included a visit to Jingyang county, Xianyang, Shaanxi province.

At the China Fu Tea Culture Museum, the international students conducted an in-depth look at the history and customs of Shaanxi by reading and discussing academic works, as well as listening to lectures by experts.

During the two-day activity, the students discussed their opinions on the future development of Fu tea, as well as ideas and plans for participating in the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt.

"Through this activity, I learned about the history, development, and future prospects of Shaanxi’s Fu tea industry. Fu tea has a 600-year history, and it used to be and will be a very important part of Shaanxi business. We are very lucky to get this chance to not only see the rich history behind Fu tea, but also have a taste of the advanced technology and industrial program, as well as the smart international business strategy for the Shaanxi tea industry," said an international students from Senegal.

The activity aimed to give international students a deeper look at the positive role played by Shaanxi entrepreneurs in the trade between China and foreign countries, as well as Shaanxi entrepreneurs' contributions to the economic and cultural exchanges of countries along the Silk Road.
