Famous for the Danxia landscape characterized by red cliffs, Huoshizhai National Geopark in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region presents beautiful scenery during autumn.
Huoshizhai, meaning "fire-stone village", got its name because its dark-red mountains resemble a group of burning flames, especially in the shade of green trees.
Located in Xiji county in the southern part of Ningxia, the place boasts beautiful natural scenery, including golden wheat, red tree leaves and wild fruit fragrances, as well as cultural and historical sites, making Huoshizhai a must-visit spot this season.
Among all the Danxia landscapes in northern China, Huoshizhai is considered most unique for its highly centralized landscape, peculiar shape and large scale.
