Urumqi Children’s Hospital

Urumqi Children’s Hospital (formerly known as the First People’s Hospital of Urumqi) was founded in 1934 and is the only comprehensive children’s hospital in Xinjiang that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, healthcare and rehabilitation.

Its general hospital covers 12,000 square meters, while its branch hospital covers 27,300 sq m. The hospital has 1,099 employees, including nearly 97 who are senior professionals and technical personnel, 226 intermediate professionals and technical personnel, and more than 20 postgraduate personnel. With 650 patient beds, its annual outpatient volume has surpassed 750,000 person-times, and the annual patient intake is more than 28,000 person-times.

The hospital is also well equipped, owning three Philips 16-slice spiral CT machines, a non-gold-selenium dual-plate direct digital photography system, a GE-E8 medical color ultrasound diagnostic apparatus, a MODL automatic biochemical analyzer, an automatic enzyme immunity analyzer, an Olympus LUCERA260 electronic gastroscopy, a colonoscopy, as well as a bronchoscopy.

It has also established friendly relations with several children’s hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing.
