Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Nanchang University

Founded in 1980, Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Nanchang University, also called Jiangxi Provincial Stomatological Hospital, is a 3A-grade hospital offering medical treatment, teaching and training, scientific research, disease prevention and healthcare.

Located in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi province, the hospital has more than 330 working staff, including 78 with deputy senior professional titles or above, seven with doctoral degrees and 137 with master's degrees, as well as two experts enjoying special government allowances awarded by the State Council and the Jiangxi provincial government.

The hospital has 23 clinical and auxiliary departments, and 16 administrative departments, with the annual number of outpatient visits surpassing 300,000. It boasts six teaching and research offices for oral pathology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthetic dentistry, orthodontics, preventive dentistry, and the basic science of stomatology.

Focusing on scientific research and development, the hospital has conducted more than 300 national and provincial projects, including nine for the Natural Science Foundation of China, and also published 37 essays in the Science Citation Index (SCI).

At the same time, it has also paid great attention to promoting international communication and cooperation, establishing cooperative relationships with many hospitals and research institutions in the United States, Japan, Australia and South Korea. In 1987, it set up cooperative relations with the Dentistry Department of Kyushu University in Japan, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Philadelphia's Temple University in 2016.
