Daping Hospital

Daping Hospital, also known as the Third Affiliated Hospital of the Third Military Medical University, is the only large military medical service institution in China that integrates medical treatment, teaching and scientific research and was also among the first batch of national 3A-grade hospital in the country.

The hospital covers 200,000 square meters and has a building area of more than 360,000 sq m.

It employs over 2,000 staff members, with 200 of them being doctoral or master’s supervisors and one academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and three on the Changjiang Scholars program.

Eight departments are listed as national key specialties such as orthopedics, general surgery, neurosurgery and cardiothoracic surgery, while six other departments are listed as municipal key specialties including cardiothoracic surgery, ophthalmology, neurology and biomedical engineering.

The hospital has over 3,000 pieces of advanced medical equipment such as Siemens Biograph 64-row 52-ring PET/CT, 1.5T MRI, GE Infinia SPECT, VisualMax, a whole-body gamma knife and an extracorporeal shock wave crusher.
