The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University

The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, established in 1957, was among the first batch of 3A-grade hospital in China. The hospital integrates medical treatment, foreign medical services, teaching, scientific research, disease prevention and healthcare.

The hospital has set up 36 clinical departments, eight medical laboratories and 3,200 patient beds. The annual patient number of outpatient departments reached 3.41 million in 2018, while the number of patients discharged was 146,500. The hospital treats patients from all over China and from countries such as the United States, Australia and Japan.

Among the hospital's employees, 281 of them are professors, 72 are doctoral supervisors, 409 are master's supervisors and 47 are experts enjoying special allowances from the government.

A total of 17 departments are listed among the construction projects for national key specialties such as obstetrics, intensive care, endocrinology, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, neurology, respiratory medicine, otolaryngology and medical imaging.

It has a range of advanced medical facilities such as PET-CT, medical electron linear accelerator, gemstone spectral imaging, 3.0T MRI, 1.5T MRI, single photon emission computed tomography and an image-guided radiotherapy system.
