Founded in 1958, Handan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a large modern municipal hospital of TCM integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, first aid, healthcare, and disease prevention.

Covering an area of 15,397 square meters with a building area of 35,806 sq m and 500 patient beds, there are more than 700 employees at the hospital, among whom 125 are professional technicians with senior titles or above.

There are 45 hospital departments. Among them are 16 administrative logistics departments, eight medical technology departments, and 21 clinical medical departments. In the past two years, the hospital has purchased a variety of advanced medical equipment such as a GE 1.5T superconducting nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) machine, Philips large C-arm angiography machine, a GE 64-row 128-slice CT, a 6000 dual-plate DR, color doppler ultrasound examination instruments, and a Beckman DSC800 automatic biochemical analyzer.
