The First Hospital of Zhangjiakou

The First Hospital of Zhangjiakou was founded in 1941 and is the affiliated hospital of Zhangjiakou University. It has developed into a 3A-grade general hospital integrating medical treatment, first aid, prevention, healthcare, scientific research, teaching, and community services.

It is also the designated hospital of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games.

The hospital is divided into two campuses, covering an area of 115.3 mu (7.69 hectares) and a building area of 120,000 square meters. It has 2,272 staff members, 78 clinical departments, 14 medical technology departments, and 1,800 patient beds. It owns the city’s most advanced GE 3.0 nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) instrument, 256-row 512-slice CT, and other large medical equipment of more than 100 sets.

By the end of December 2018, its brain center had 66,656 outpatient visits, 12,745 inpatient visits, 923 consultation cases, and 1,024 surgeries.
