Hebei General Hospital

Hebei General Hospital, formerly known as Hebei Provincial Hospital, was founded in Tianjin in 1959 and moved to Shijiazhuang in 1968. It is a large comprehensive 3A-grade hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, rehabilitation, and first aid.

The hospital covers an area of 96,000 square meters with a construction area of 88,800 sq m, offering 932 inpatient beds. The hospital has 1,693 working staff, among whom are 1,354 health technical personnel, 77 have senior technical titles, 270 have deputy senior titles, and 655 have intermediate technical titles. It also has a batch of renowned experts with outstanding achievements and experienced medical skills.

The hospital has 70 clinical and technical departments. Departments such as cardiovascular medicine, blood diseases, minimally invasive surgery of liver and gallbladder, geriatric rehabilitation, ophthalmology of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), children’s first aid, medical imaging, and laser center are the hospital’s characteristic departments, among which cardiovascular medicine and medical imaging are provincial key disciplines in Hebei province.

The hospital owns the world’s most advanced CT, 1.5T MRI, ECT, gamma knife, MEG and other large medical equipment. It also strengthens the contact and exchange with foreign hospitals, and established technical cooperation, academic exchange and friendly exchange relations with many hospitals in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
