Anshan Normal University

Founded in 1958, Anshan Normal University is a full-time undergraduate normal university in Anshan city, Liaoning province, an excellent tourist city. In 2013, it was given approval to enroll foreign students with Chinese government scholarships.

The university has three campuses, covering an area of 750,000 square meters, with 200,000 sq m for teaching and research administration. It has 16 affiliated secondary colleges, three public teaching and research departments, and one affiliated middle school. Its fixed assets are worth 376 million yuan ($53.5 million), of which 125 million yuan represents the value of teaching and scientific research equipment. The library has a collection of 1.19 million books.

The university has 1,063 faculty members, 730 of whom are full-time teachers and 467 have deputy senior titles or above. It has 16,372 students, including 130 graduate students, 9,053 undergraduate students, 3,120 junior college students and 158 overseas students. The university has developed a coordinated pattern of graduate education, undergraduate education, vocational education, adult education and overseas student education.

It also carries out extensive international exchanges and cooperation, and promotes international education. It has signed friendly cooperation agreements with universities and education institutions in more than 20 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Poland, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Nigeria, Japan and South Korea. Substantive exchanges and cooperation have also been carried out in academic, teacher-student and cultural exchanges. The university has enrolled more than 3,500 students from over 20 countries.
