Liaoning Shihua University

Liaoning Shihua University was founded in Dalian in 1950 and has developed into a multidisciplinary institution featuring petroleum and petrochemicals, along with eight main disciplines: engineering, science, economics, management, liberal arts, law, teaching and art.

The university covers 126 hectares, with a total building area of 532,000 square meters, and its library has 2.72 million volumes and 36 electronic literature databases.

The university has one department and 16 colleges, with 52 undergraduate programs and 18,400 full-time students. It also has 1,535 staff members, among whom 950 are full-time teachers. There are 387 teachers with doctoral degrees, 416 teachers with senior professional titles, and 292 doctoral and master’s supervisors.

It has also expanded exchanges and cooperation with other countries, and has established long-term cooperative relations with 47 institutions of higher learning and research institutes in 17 countries, including the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom and South Korea.
