Founded in 1958, Mudanjiang Normal University has become the largest provincial undergraduate institution with the highest comprehensive strength in the southeast of Heilongjiang province.
The university is located in Mudanjiang city, a renowned tourist city with beautiful scenery. It covers 831,200 square meters and a building area of 421,000 sq m. It has 1,264 staff members, including 807 full-time teachers, 396 professors and associate professors, and 670 students with doctorates or master’s degrees.
The university has two provincial key disciplines and one provincial characteristic discipline. It covers 10 disciplines: engineering, science, agriculture, law, literature, education, history, economics, management and art. Its library has more than 2.4 million books, including 615,000 electronic books, and more than 3,000 kinds of Chinese and foreign periodicals.
The university cooperates with 75 international colleges and universities. It holds undergraduate education programs jointly with Cheongju University in South Korea and Russian Ussuriysk National Normal College.
