1. Hefei International Marathon

Hefei International Marathon has been held annually in Hefei city, Anhui province, every November since 2014. Jointly sponsored by the Chinese Athletic Association, Anhui Sports Bureau and Hefei municipal government, the event was upgraded to China Athletics Association Top Event in 2016.

The 2018 marathon attracted 30,000 runners from 19 countries and regions, including the United States, France, Canada and Japan.

The event is sure to promote Hefei's international status at a higher level, strengthen the city's development potential and vitality, and boost its long-term development.

In the future, the organizing committee will devote itself to improving the level of service and standards of the marathon, to be qualified for the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Gold Label Road Race, the world's top level marathon event.

2. Hefei International Culture Exposition

Hefei International Culture Exposition has been held in Hefei, the capital of East China's Anhui province, every October since 2007. Sponsored by Hefei municipal government, the event has grown into an important platform to showcase the latest development achievements in cultural reform, and promote cultural exchanges and communication.

With an exhibition area of 63,000 square meters, the 2018 Hefei International Culture Exposition brought a series of elements together, including culture, science and technology, and creativity, which highlighted the integration of culture and technology, and intangible cultural heritages.

Over 13 years of development, the event has given a powerful impetus to the growth of Hefei’s cultural industries, including publication and distribution, radio, film and television, handicrafts, cultural tourism, creative design, and recreation and entertainment, as well as injecting creativity and vitality into the city.

3. The China (Wuhu) Popularized Science Products Exposition

The 2019 China (Wuhu) Popularized Science Products Exposition, was successfully held in Wuhu, Anhui province, in May, continuing its mission to improve the public's scientific literacy, and create a sound environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The exhibition was held biennially from 2004 to 2017, and annually since 2018.

From 2004 to 2018, the event had attracted more than 2,600 domestic and foreign manufacturers with nearly 40,000 science popularization products displayed, bringing in a total volume of business transactions of 3.9 billion yuan ($567 million).

Themed "Innovation drives development, and technology leads the future", the 2019 event was attended by 375 exhibitors, including some well-known universities and scientific institutions from across the country, as well as scientific enterprises and technological groups
from 11 countries and regions such as the United States, France, Britain, Germany, Canada and Singapore.

The expo is jointly sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology, and Anhui provincial government.
