Henan Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Henan Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, also known as the Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was founded in 1985, and is a 3A-grade comprehensive hospital of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) offering treatment, teaching, scientific research, prophylactics, healthcare and rehabilitation.

The hospital has 2,000 beds and over 2,400 staff members, including 142 experts enjoying the special allowance awarded by the State Council, and nationally renowned TCM doctors, provincially renowned TCM doctors, and doctoral supervisors.

Over the past 34 years, the main campus on Dongfeng Road has developed into the largest comprehensive hospital in the northern part of Zhengzhou. There are more than 60 clinical departments, including emergency, intensive care, internal and external departments, and gynecology and pediatric departments.

The hospital attaches great importance to the development of key disciplines, and it boasts five national key clinical specialties and 10 national key specialties of the State Administration of TCM, and one national key laboratory of the State Administration of TCM. Its emergency and surgical abilities have improved greatly over the years, and the treatment of emergency and severe diseases with a combination of Western medicine and TCM has developed unique advantages. In 2019, the hospital’s emergency trauma center was declared the "Zhengzhou Advanced First-aid Station" for the sixth consecutive year.

Highlighting its advantages in traditional medicine, the hospital has set up TCM studios to inherit TCM culture. It emphasizes the importance of technology, and has made many scientific achievements in research and the application of TCM.
