Cattle raising helps poverty alleviation in Jilin

Yellow cattle were raised at grassland in Malugou town, Changbai county, in Northeast China’s Jilin province. Raising yellow cattle has helped locals increase their incomes and has lifted many of them out of poverty. Last year, the town earned 344,000 yuan ($49,987) through raising cattle, and each economically challenged household received 1,200 yuan. [Photo by Wang Chunbao/Jilin Daily]
