Artists from 18 countries around the world staged an audio-visual feast for audiences in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 1.

The performance marked the opening of 2019 international choral week, which will end on July 4.

The choral week was organized by the Inner Mongolia Culture and Tourism Authority, the International Federation for Choral Music and the Inner Mongolia Bureau of National Art Troupes -- and aimed for closer ties with member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization through cultural exchanges.

This year's event is benefiting from the participation of choirs from China and foreign countries. It also features lectures and art performances.

The international choral week, which first launched in 2018, has this year attracted 396 singers from 10 choirs in 10 countries.
