Jiangxi Provincial People’s Hospital

Founded as a church hospital by the Methodist Church from the United States in 1897, Jiangxi Provincial People’s Hospital is the first western medicine hospital in Nanchang, Jiangxi province. It’s also the largest 3A-grade hospital directly governed by the Health Commission of Jiangxi Province.

With the main branch in Aiguo Road and two sub-branches in Yangming Road and Honggutan, the hospital employs 2,341 staff members. The main branch offers 2,200 inpatient beds, with all kinds of modern advanced medical equipment.

Its key specialties include neurology, cardiovascular intervention, ophthalmology, organ transplantation, pathology, orthopedics and maxillofacial surgery, geriatrics, thymus surgery and rheumatology.

The hospital has cemented close partnership with several hospitals from home and abroad, including Japan Kyushu University Hospital, Chinese PLA General Hospital, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, MacKay Memorial Hospital, and Shandong Provincial People’s Hospital.
