Tourism revenue amounted to 450 billion yuan in 2017 and is projected to reach 900 billion yuan in 2020. The province received 7.06 million overseas tourists in 2018, up 5.8 percent year-on-year.
Yunnan will make great efforts to develop high-end tourism services and promote transformation from a province that is sightseeing-only to integrated products featuring sightseeing, recreation and specialized routes.
