Indians make pilgrimage to Tibet

"Indian pilgrims will spend at least nine days making the long-distance journey to both sites despite the discomfort from high altitude."

The Nathu La Pass, which sits at over 4,000 meters above sea level between Tibet's Dromo County and India's Sikkim state, is another main pass for pilgrims to the region.

Since the pass started to receive Indian pilgrims in June 2015, more than 900 pilgrims have entered Tibet through it.
