The “Huasheng Cup” 2019 Yanji International Marathon was held in Yanji, capital of Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture in Northeast China's Jilin province, on June 16. More than 11,000 runners from 13 countries, including Kenya, Australia, Russia and Pakistan, participated.

The event was themed around ecology, Fathers' Day, and dinosaurs, as it fell on Fathers' Day and dinosaur fossils were discovered on the city's Longshan Mountain in 2016.

Runners participated in a full marathon, half marathon, and mini marathon. With courses running through Yanji airport, the Yanji government building, and Mao’er Mountain, runners were able to enjoy some spectacular sights throughout their run.

This is the second time the event has been held in Yanji, and many more runners participated this time around.

Chinese runner Wu Xuanxia clinched the top spot for women in the full marathon with a time of 2 hr 52min 35 sec.
