The Leshan Giant Buddha, stands 71 meters high and is the world's largest stone Buddha statue. Built during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907), the Buddha statue took 90 years to complete and was carved out of a cliff on Mount Emei facing at the confluence of the Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers. It has, along with the mountain, been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. [Photo/Xinhua]
