Jizhong Energy Group Co Ltd, founded in June 2008, is a large State-owned enterprise in Hebei province. With coal as its main business, the group also covers pharmacy, modern logistics, chemical engineering, electric power and equipment manufacturing.

Headquartered in Xingtai city, the group has seven subsidiary coal companies, five non-coal subsidiaries, a finance company and three listed holding companies. It distributes its products in 13 provinces and regions, including Hebei, Shanxi, Jiangsu, and Henan provinces, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang Uygur autonomous regions, and Hong Kong.

In 2018, the group's coal output reached 81 million tons, including 21.47 million tons of refined coal, ranking 10th among all coal enterprises in the country. The operation revenue of the group in 2018 was 272.36 billion yuan ($39.28 billion), while its total assets hit 254.58 billion yuan. Its comprehensive strength ranked 359th among the world's top 500 enterprises and 81st among the top 500 Chinese enterprises.

The group has been developing into a world-class enterprise over many years by cultivating a batch of non-coal products and projects with key technologies and strong brand influence. It is expected that by 2020, the group's total assets and annual operation revenue will both exceed 300 billion yuan, and the six business clusters – coal and new energy, health and medicine, modern services, equipment manufacturing, chemical engineering, and modern finance – will be initially formed.
