Heilongjiang Forest Ecological Tourism Festival

Located in the Lesser Hinggan Mountains, 86 percent of Yichun is covered with forest. It is also home to the Korea Pine, a nationally protected plant. Heilongjiang Forest Ecological Tourism Festival, an event aimed at promoting healthy and environmentally friendly travel, is held annually in Yichun, Heilongjiang province.

The annual gala features folk song performances and classical music concerts. During the festival, tourists can venture deep into the forests, go rafting and attend painting, calligraphy and carving on birch board exhibitions. There are also trade talks and symposiums on eco-tourism.
