Honeywell International, a Fortune 500 company, has a production base for friction materials in Chongqing.
The production plant is located in Yufu Industrial Park in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area. It has a production area of 23,000 square meters, and is only staffed by a few workers due to the company's highly automated equipment. One employee can monitor and manage a whole warehouse with the help of Honeywell's computer auto-management system.
The construction of the base started in November 2010 and operation started in May 2012. It has an annual output capacity of about seven million brake pads.
