Zhucheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Zhucheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) was founded in 1983, and has developed into a 3A-grade hospital integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

The hospital covers a combined floor area of 34,000 square meters and has 560 patient beds. After the new complex building, which occupies a combined floor area of 30,000 sq m, is put into use, the hospital will have 1,000 more beds.

It is also equipped with more than 700 advanced devices, each of which is worth more than 10,000 yuan ($1,450), providing powerful support for the accurate diagnosis and treatment of basic medical conditions and critical illnesses.

The departments of ophthalmology, oncology and encephalopathy were listed as provincial key TCM specialties, while the orthopedics department is the key specialty construction unit of TCM in the province. The departments of angiocardiopathy and proctology were selected among the municipal key clinical specialties, while eight departments – orthopedics, hepatopathy, encephalopathy, oncology, acupuncture, proctology, nephrology and blood diseases – are municipal key TCM specialties.

In recent years, the hospital has been improving the clinical efficacy of TCM by large amounts of scientific research. A total of 53 varieties of Chinese materia medica preparations have been available at the hospital's TCM center.
