Weifang Traditional Chinese Hospital

Weifang Traditional Chinese Hospital, founded in June 1955, was one of the earliest municipal-level hospitals offering traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in East China's Shandong province. It is the postdoctoral research station for China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Shanghai Jiaotong University, and the cardiopulmonary resuscitation training center for the American Heart Association.

The hospital has one main campus and two branches in the city's Hanting district and Weifang National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. It has 2,326 patient beds and 2,607 staff members, of whom 339 have senior titles.

There are currently more than 80 clinical departments and medical laboratories at the hospital. The departments of encephalopathy and orthopedics were listed among the national key clinical specialties, while the surgery and oncology departments were selected as national key TCM specialties. The hospital also has nine provincial-level key TCM specialties, and 30 municipal-level key specialties.

The hospital is equipped with more than 400 advanced devices, each of which is worth more than 10,000 yuan ($1,450), providing powerful support for the accurate diagnosis and treatment of basic medical problems and critical illnesses.

In 2017, the total outpatient amount of the hospital exceeded 860,000 person-times.

The hospital has been promoting the integration of medical treatment with internet. It established the first "cloud hospital" in Weifang city, which offers remote diagnosis and treatment services.
